A curfew has been imposed in IOJK since August 5 after Indian government unilaterally seized the special status of the valley by suspending the articles 370 and 35(a). Since then PM Imran Khan is very actively raising the issue to international community.
Previously, the premiere asked nation to come out and hold an event every week to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir, starting from August 30. Pakistanis came out in numbers to observe ‘Kashmir Hour’ from 12 pm to 12:30 pm to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
The PM’s announcement of the Muzaffarabad rally today comes a day after Pakistan delivered a joint statement on behalf of 58 countries at the United Nations Human Rights Council on the human rights situation in IOJK.
